The UPSC Interview, also known as the Personality Test, is the final and most crucial stage of the Civil Services Examination.

For the 2025–26 cycle, the UPSC is expected to release the interview schedule soon. Since the UPSC Mains 2025 results were declared on 11th November 2025, shortlisted candidates are now updating their DAF-II. Interviews are likely to begin in January 2026 at Dholpur House, New Delhi, the official venue for the Personality Test.

UPSC Interview Details

The interview takes place in two sessions each day—9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The e-Summon Letter issued by UPSC mentions the exact reporting time. 

Candidates must carry their documents, identity proof and appear well in advance for verification and security procedures.

The maximum marks are 275, and even a difference of 20–30 marks can drastically shift an aspirant’s final service.

This year, approximately 2,736 candidates have been shortlisted for the Personality Test, against an expected 1,129 vacancies.
